Singing uplifts our spirits and brings joy. As such, it is integrated in  our  everyday  teaching  and  earning activities. At school, we sing everyday for the morning assembly, thus forming a whole-school choir of which every pupil is a member.  In addition, each class learns new songs and performs them at various school functions during the year. The official “School Choir” however is made up of approximately twenty students from the Standard 1- 5 classes. These students meet periodically to learn new songs for special occasions such as graduation and our Eid functions. We are fortunate to have two drummers as part of our choir whose drumming accompaniment enhances the singers’ performances. At our choir practice, pupils learn to read the lyrics for new songs; cooperate with each other and brainstorm ideas for their performances. While having fun, shy members of the choir learn to drop their inhibitions and develop stage skills which help them to be confident presenters. Ms. Naseema Ali-Ebrahim Teacher in Charge
